THE CORRECT WAY TO LEAVE BEHIND THE “LITTLE GIRL” IMAGE
Look at this woman.
YES, WOMAN.
Because unlike Miley, she has actually GROWN into a WOMAN.
She no longer has her frizzy-haired, “I’m just a little girl and an example for little girls”, or sweater vests. Instead of going from one extreme to the other, she hasn’t let the media get to her and has grown over the years, allowed herself to go through her awkward teenage years (if she even had any), and become an actual adult. She doesn’t need to get some skanky role to prove to the world that she’s an adult, she just has to look like THAT.
And oh look! She IS an adult. Because OH LOOK. SHE DOESN’T LOOK LIKE A SKANK.
Emma Watson has proven to the world that this growth can not only occur, but it can be done with grace and pride, without resorting to dressing like a hoe and giving the wrong examples to the kids that look up to you.
Kudos, Emma. Fucking kudos.
